I have a little tiff with BYU

So I was walking around campus at night last week, and I noticed they put up lights on the trees around campus! Sooooooooooooooo pretty, right?

WRONG.

The colors they have used are creating a mood that is NOT CHRISTMAS-Y.

Let me explain.

They have the colors: Red and White. That's Christmas, Right?

But THEN, there are tons of trees wrapped in ORANGE and BLUE. No green or yellow or pink to create a Winter Wonderland.

NOPE. Just Blue and Orange. Hello???? We are NOT Boise State, here, people!! Get it right!!

Dear BYU: Please change the lights around the trees, either in ALL the colors, or JUST CHRISTMAS COLORS of red, white, and green.

Dreams Really DO Come True!!

I am so happy to announce that on January 13th, in the City of Angels, I will fulfill one of my (as of 3 years ago) life-long dreams to see JOHN LEGEND LIVE IN CONCERT.

Jealous?
Jealous???
Well, you SHOULD be.

His debut multi-platinum album, Get Lifted, came out on December 28, 2004 and subsequently won 3 Grammys. His following two albums, Save Room and Evolver have come out since and won multiple awards. He has collarborated with the best in the industry, including Kanye West, Brandy, Snoop Dogg and Andre 3000.

If you've never heard his glorious voice, listen here (Click on the pop-out player):

I love him.

I LOVE him.

I love HIM.

I LOVE HIM.

Thank you, James "JIMMYLIN" Lin!!!!!!!!!!

'Tis NOT The Season To Celebrate Early

Commercials. Stores. Radio. Television. MY HOUSE. Brittany's Computer. Everything and everyone is celebrating Christmas EARLY!

Example: My roommate/best friend Brittany Davis played Mariah Carey's Christmas CD yesterday while we were studying at home. I had to bust out my Hip Hop Beats playlist and blast it until the Early Christmas Confusion Madness stopped.

Don't you people know the rule? NO CHRISTMAS UNTIL THE DAY AFTER THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!! That means NO music, NO commercials, NO decorations, NO gifts.

Get it together! Play by the rules! Stop the Commercialized-Christmas-Commotion!!
Remember: NO Christmas Music until FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 28, 2008!!!!!

(Doesn't ANYONE remember Thanksgiving? Shouldn't you focus on being thankful? Hello?!?)

Racist Republicans

I may be a registered Republican, but right now I am so disappointed with my party. Can you stop sending me racist text messages about Obama? Just because he won does not give you the right to be racist. Already today, I have received 3 racist texts about Obama as President. IT'S NOT FUNNY.

I didn't vote for him, but I do support the President of the United States of America (as of January).

You make me sick.

He won.

GET OVER IT.

If You're Not Informed, You Probably Shouldn't Help Decide Our Next President

I'm really irritated/annoyed/irked when I ask someone who they're going to vote for President, or if they've watched the latest debate, or if they agree with Obama and McCain's policies or if they like Palin or Biden better... and they have no clue. They didn't watch the debate. They don't go online and read about the issues. They aren't involved. They don't know Sarah Palin is Alaska's Governor. They don't know Joe Biden is from Delaware. Geez, people! Get it together!

If you don't know about each candidate, then you shouldn't vote.

There's still time to repent. Go watch all the debates online. Go online to each candidate's website and read about their policies and what issues are important to them. Form your own opinions. Don't parrot what you hear on FOX News or CNN. As my new employer would say, Just Do It.

Read about McCain and Palin here.

Read about Obama and Biden here.

Go! Run! Hurry!

(If you're computer illiterate, email me and I will help you find the debates online.)
