Just Do It Tracie~~~ 26.2 Miles isn't THAT long~~~
I figure the best way for me to actually do a marathon is to tell as many people as possible and to write it down so I see it every day and therefore can't shy away from it.
Goal: Run the L.A. Marathon on March 1, 2009.
I've already looked up a training program thanks to the Runners World website. (Program designed for runners who have never ran over 6 miles... that's me~~) I would have to start 16 weeks before the race, so I would start training the first week of November.
I figure training in Utah in cold weather will be good for my lungs and endurance and will make race day somewhat easier. If there is such a way to make running 26.2 MILES any easier.
It's a daunting task, but I will do it.
I really DON'T want to run it by myself. I'm trying to enlist Tawnie Dee McCaa to run with me, but so far, no good. Any takers? Jill? Brittany? (HA JOKE Britt) Kellie my sister? Bradley my brother? Anyone? Anyone? (Adrienne, I don't even know if you like to run, but you are exempt from my marathon draft... if it comes to that...)

5 people have something to say about this:
I love to run. But since I'm going to be having a baby right around that time.... **sigh**
Tracie I am going to run a half in November and we will see how things are going after that one! ;) I ran my first race last night!!!! ;)
Where did you run at?? Yay, exciting! I run my first 5k on Sept. 6th!!
I will totally train with you? My goal is to run a marathon. I run about 8-9 miles a day, but I don't know if I can do 26....
Yay Jessica!! Okay, I have a training program by Hal Higdon (see Hal Higdon.com) that I want to use. We would start running in Sept. Want to run the Spanish Fork and BYU Homecoming 5K's with me?? I'm so excited!
